Pampers Active Fit Trial

As part of the Pampers Britain’s Driest Nappy trial I conducted a small experiment at home to test the dryness of Pampers Active Fit nappies voted Baby Care Product of the Year 2013.

Many parents already trust Pampers for their nappies of choice and the brand’s popularity is ever increasing positioned as a global leader in baby care products.

On first impression the nappies have cute character designs and look much less bulky under baby’s clothes. They have stretchy panels fastening comfortably whether your little one is resting or playing. They come in sizes 3, 3+, 4, 4+, 5, and 5+ for baby weight up to 60lbs / 4-27 kg and can absorb the equivalent of up to 3 small bottles of milk, protecting from dampness for up to 12 hours.

I do think there is a definite smell to the nappies (prior to use of course) but can’t quite figure out what it is!

I slowly poured 150ml of tap water into the centre of the nappy and waited 1 minute 30 seconds.

Next I placed a piece of kitchen roll on to the nappy and pressed down with my hand. I immediately saw that the kitchen roll piece was dry.

I cut the nappy in half and could see the micro pearls had absorbed the liquid to form a gel.

I was pleasantly surprised and having a baby that sleeps all the way through the night I want to make sure he is dry and comfortable.

It might be an idea to test your current choice of nappy in the same way to see how quickly it locks wetness away. I would recommend these nappies to any mum who has as the name suggests an active baby!

*I was sent a pack of Active Fit nappies to try as part of the nappy trial experiment and all opinions are my own and 100% unbiased.
