Rainbow Soul Surprise Box Review*

img_5594

Who doesn’t love a surprise? and I mean the nice ones. A fellow Channel Mum friend of mine and creative mama of five yes five! Charlotte Themagpie successfully runs her own business from home and recently sent me a box to review which I kindly accepted. I know there are many subscription boxes on the market available for the masses. I am usually drawn to the boxes that include beauty products.

Rainbow Soul Surprise is a spiritual Subscription box and one that I really enjoyed going through. Also enclosed was a Summer Bucket List sheet to complete with your thoughts. It’s actually a really useful exercise which gets you to open your mind and think about the possibilities as we all know anything is possible.

I know that in these busy modern times life can be pretty hectic and rushed. I instantly felt calm opening this box and I do feel that if you’re someone who perhaps could do with a spiritual lift then this subscription is definitely for you. Each month there is a different theme to delight and nurture your soul. The August box that I received had the theme ‘Holiday’ and I read through the contents list notes enclosed  in the box which described all the items in detail. Really good for someone like me who likes to be prepared.

So what goodies did I receive?

INFINITY SYMBOL ANKLE BRACELET

img_5678

This is such a beautiful piece and with a symbol showing infinity. So whether you are a mathematical whizz or not I like the idea of being limitless!

SILK JEWELLERY/ TRAVEL POUCH

This silk pouch is so pretty and being a fair trade item made in India I can see it being used for lots of things. It’s brightly perfect for summer and great for storing jewellery.

PURE PEPPERMINT OIL

This versatile, rejuvenating oil can be used topically to relieve sore muscles with its well-known cooling effect. Peppermint essential oil’s scent invigorates the mind and senses, while inspiring a sense of peace. The refreshing aroma will give you a boost of positivity!

CRYSTAL: HEMATITE

Hematite has been used extensively for it calming, balancing and grounding properties. Essentially, hematite is one of the most grounding crystals. Its energy can assist with reducing negativity and re-balancing yourself. As the energy is so peaceful and calming, it’s often chosen as an aid for helping sleep difficulties. In the same way, it can also be used to have in your home to restore stability.

Apparently Victoria Beckham carries a crystal in her handbag and has handed them to members of her team. I have never owned a crystal so this is a first for me. I am aware that some aren’t so keen on this type of healing but I always say it’s worth trying something than not. Life’s too short!

THE GREEN PARENT NATURAL BEAUTY BIBLE

Since becoming a parent I am much more wary of the products I use on my son’s skin and my own skin.  I haven’t heard of The Natural Beauty Bible until now that is and it is packed with all the winners from the 2016 Natural Beauty Awards to help you choose the very best organic and natural beauty brands.  The products are safe to use and do NOT involve testing on animals.

RELAXATION TEA BY BEL CHARLESWORTH

I may like my builders tea but I sometimes like a soothing blend like this one. I love lemon and lime and being a light sleeper this tea was just what I needed. It gave me a chance to get the glass Bodum tea pot out!

SILK SARONG WITH SILK BAG

This fair trade item is simply stunning, so perfect for summer and just reminded me straight away of exotic holidays away. I stayed in England this summer but the beauty of a Sarong is that it can be used in lots of ways not just wrapped around the body. The sarong actually reminded me of a saree that my mum owns. Silk is beautiful full stop.

TEMPORARY TATTOOS

I may not be brave enough to have a tattoo but I though these definitely had a festival vibe about them. Turning 40 this week meant I adorned my skin with some from this lovely sheet. They are so easy to apply and simply fun!

ART BLANK GREETINGS CARD

A colourful card can’t go wrong with that.

YOGA POSE CARD

I tried theses poses and managed both thank goodness. The card is from a Yoga Deck by Olivia H. Miller. If you haven’t tried yoga yet I strongly recommend you give it a try.

NASAL INHALER AND INCENSE : KARMA

A nasal inhaler is used to utilise essential oils for various situations. It gives the essential oil molecules a chance to be absorbed into your bloodstream. Once they are there, they can be delivered throughout the body and to the brain as needed. The peppermint oil can be used here. Always remember to check if you are able to use certain oils as oil for example is not recommended in pregnancy or whilst breast feeding.  The incense sticks completely change the atmosphere of the room and great for meditation.  The scent of these sticks were pleasant as I find some incense sticks can be really strong.

NAKD NIBBLES

This a good for you snack but I’m not a fan of strawberry flavoured stuff which is a shame. I did try it but couldn’t finish it. I do like the Nakd protein crunch bars which I have tried before. Containing 100% natural ingredients with no added sugars or syrups, these nibbles are also wheat, dairy and gluten free, and bursting with goodness.

So how do you get hold of the Rainbow Soul Surprise Box.  Well the subscription cost £24.95 per month or £26.50 as a one-off gift. I think that is very reasonable for the items received and with the range of of products it’s nice to see that all things can be put to good use.

It’s obvious that Charlotte has spent a lot of time thinking about the products carefully selected for each month’s itinerary. I was pleased with the August box as I liked all the items my favourite being the infinity ankle bracelet and the silk sarong. So what are you waiting for, delight and nurture your soul! and a Big Thank you to Charlotte for sending me this wonderful box to review.

Have you tried Rainbow Soul yet?  What’s your favourite item so far either from your own boxes or, if you haven’t ordered one yet, something from the post I have written?
